making friends

Jackson has made all kinds of new friends lately...check out the pictures.

He can't wait to play with Liam!

He had fun visiting with Brooke & Carl!

And loves his birthday buddy, Kerry!

Oh boy oh boy! Jackson is one month old already! Time has passed by very quickly and he has become a professional eater, sleeper, and pooper. Before you know it, he'll be self-sufficient and able to take care of himself ;) At his one month check-up, Jackson weighed in at 8lbs 3ounces and was 21.5 inches long. I was worried he wasn't eating enough but this certainly isn't the case!

video shoot

Today Jackson made his first acting appearance. Mommy took a video of him to send to Great Grandma & Great PopPop since they cannot come to NJ to visit for the holidays. Here it is....already an excellent actor :)

"i'm stuffed"

Jackson got to celebrate his first Thanksgiving with many friends and family. He started the day like many others; watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Then, he went to Grandma and Grandpa's house where he hung out with all his aunts, uncles, and cousins. As usual, he slept through dinner! Afterwards, he went to Nana and PopPop's house for dessert. Spice cake and pumpkin pie...yummmm! That night he stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house so Mommy could go shopping the next day with Aunt Lori. It was a fun holiday weekend with family & friends!

hello friends

Jackson had many visitors while in the hospital. The very evening he was born, he met Aunt Keri & Aunt Lori and Grandma & Grandpa. Nana & PopPop & Aunt Becky were also very excited to meet Jackson. The next day was even more hectic and he got to meet many more family and friends. Everyone enjoyed holding him and watching him sleep...of course no one wanted to change his diapers ;)

oh hello little snuggler

On November 7th 2009, I awoke early and thought to myself "something isn't right." I knew I was having contractions, but assumed they would disappear and amount to nothing like the other times. How quickly I was proved wrong. They began 20 minutes apart, and rapidly progressed from 10 minutes to 5 minutes. It was finally happening! I was in labor. Bill and I headed to the hospital. To make a VERY long story short, THREE hospital visits and 36 hours later, we finally welcomed our son, Jackson James Chaney on November 8th, 2009 at 6:43pm. He weighed in at 7lbs, 4oz, 19 in. Just like that, our world began to quickly evolve. So begins our adventure with our little snuggler, Jackson Chaney.
